Hey all,

Many of you have made your own tournaments for others to play. As you know, those tournaments only run whenever you start it.

There are a list of "Official Tournaments" that get started automatically by the website whenever a tournament ends.

You now have the ability to get your tournament added to that list. You'll notice on the left hand side of the tournament page an option to vote a thumbs up or down. People can vote weather they believe your tournament is worthy of being an Official Map. You'll only see this feature on custom made maps.

Once the number of thumbs up is 30 greater than the number of thumbs down, your map will automatically become official (so if 10 people rate it down, you'll need 40 thumbs up).

As you may know, whenever your Official map runs you'll get a portion of the prize pool.

Also, as soon as the Multiplayer BTGTD game is completed, all Official Maps will be able to be played in it.

So, get voting!

Note : Your votes are secret, so don't feel bad voting a map down. In the end, we really only want the best maps to make it in.

Sounds great. I like the idea of having the players vote on maps they want added into the Official Tournament rotation. This way you don't get maps that people don't want to play.

Is ist possible to get a map in the rotation more than once?

I mean, starting a map now, it gets 30 thumbs up. After that it is an official one. I start it again, it gets another 30 thumbs up.

Is it now twice in the rotation?

A tournament you design can only be submitted once.

Let's say you make a tournament and it runs for 3 days. During that time it gets 5 votes. The next time you start that same tournament it will still have the same 5 votes. Eventually, if/when it receives 30 votes, a copy of that exact tournament will be added to the official maps. Whenever you start that tournament again, it will not have an option to vote as it is already official.

However, if i becomes official, and then you make any changes to your version and start it... that one will have the option to vote on.

I'd prefer not having 2 of the same tournaments in the official rotation. So f that happens I'll probably remove the older one and keep the newer one (unless the changes you made were larger).

You'll also now notice when viewing all the tournaments you've created, it will show you how many thumbs up and down you currently have for all of them.

Could you please cycle through old tournaments that have been played in the past - there are several good ones that no longer appear as the creator left the site

I think your update has caused some first bugs.

The first one happend in the older version of this map:

The creator seems to deleted the map already.



The second one is that the list with my created maps is mixed. I mean, They are not classified by difficult as it was previously, not sorted by name, ID, starting cost, entry fee, thumbs or something else.

The bug with the map was probably cause he had some weird settings for the map

And I forgot to sort the tournament list for you. I will do that.

It became a regular one with only three thumbs up. I don't mind about that, now I haven't to pay to start it again.

A program sorts them. How was it sorted before? I think I have it sorted easy to hard maps.

And I'm not sure what you mean about your traffic map. I noticed it is an official map. Did I manually make it official before?

It was sorted easy to hard and with second priority by Master ID. But now at last I perceive how many maps I've already created and how less I've stared.

About the Traffic map, the tournament Info say:

End: 9/25/2011 12:26:43 PM

So it was running while you added the new feature. And it was the first release.
If you look closely at the current map you'll notice that it has no ending time. That is why I wonder if it will still running when it reachs the player limit.

Ya, not sure why that tournament doesn't have an end time. However, it will end when it hits the player limit.

If your tournament gets into the rotation you still get the geek points when people play it right?
