i played some maximumgames (perfect game with highest possible score).
Sometimes there is an even higher Alltimetop.
Can somebody tell me how this is possible?
for example:
http://www.beatthegeek.com/games/TowerDefence/tournamentResults.asp?tournid=11946
(watch my replay which is a maximum score but not 1 place. anonemouse and creepnator scored that maximum too but ph4ce is listed with more points)
or
http://www.beatthegeek.com/games/TowerDefence/tournamentResults.asp?tournid=25230
(green tournament - free replays. The 79507-game is perfect score. But alltime are 2 better games. 79511-game from me and 79770-game bye ph4ce)
Did i missed something?
Am i wrong?
This is not that important but i m curious what´s going on.

I am not sure myself. The only difference I can see between your game and ph4ce's game is he only had 11 points put into "extra time" and you had 12. If anything I'd assume that more points into "extra time" would equal a larger score (since you send creeps early). But I could be wrong. |

Could it be if someone puts experience points into having harder creeps worth more score points? |

The only difference I saw is that you send all waves at once, while ph4ce sends them in short bursts.
I'm quite sure that this problem has already been reported long ago, but I don't know if there was a solution for this issure. |

Hi,
here is my try to find an explanation:
I made the experience, that there is a difference in points when send waves with or without a gap bigger or not bigger then 1 second between each wave.
Everything bigger then 1s is equal to less points.
Jackre sended the waves with some intervals bigger then this second, ph4ce sended the waves (in total) slower but had less >1s intervals.
I am not completely sure of that, but perhaps can somebody make a try. ;-)

Hi folks!
I know this is kind of an old post, but since I was asked again by elrond, how I could get more points than the expected max-score I'll just try to explain what I figured and pointed out in another post of myself years ago:
It's rather simple: Just holding down "n" right from the start wouldn't get u maximum points. Instead u have to make a tiny pause every 4th wave.
Here is what happens when u make that tiny pause: When u get for example to the fourth wave u would see a little yellow number "20" which indicates how much extra points u would get if u sent in the 5th wave early. If u just wait a little u would see that this number suddenly increases to "40" which means all of a sudden u get 40 extra points for the 5th. Difference = 20 more points just by waiting a little. It works more or less like this every 4th wave. (The points which u get more differ but thats kind of all)
Mystery solved?
I kind of accepted this glitch as a "feature" to work with when u need just some little extra points to beat that hard-trying geek on 1st place. :D
Have a nice weekend! |
