hmm, yes I read that. However allowing games that cost points but where scores are not saved would be the responsibility of the site, not the map creator.
As people can charge for these maps, I think a check should be put in to stop this sort of thing, or sort it out so that scores can be recorded.
Does the person who made the map get a bonus for people playing? and do the people whose score is not recorded affect the result? What happens to the GP?
I personally couldn't care less about GP, but don't like wasting time on a map only to have my score disappear. If there are limits, then those limits should be passed onto the map creators, not left for someone to figure out by themselves. |

i don't think it's necessary to have a check. if you are the 1st to play such a map, you have no warnings in trash talk, but you can see, if thousands and tthousands of power up points and millions of creeps appear. then you know what crap it is, abort playing and warn the others in the tournament comments. peace |

Thats my tournament, and the last wave has 99,999 creeps, so you have to quit yourself at the right time or your score is lost. |

I wish people wouldn't make maps like these. Scores don't always save and these maps are the reason the cheat detector dies (the cheat detector actually plays out your game.... so if you lag bad when playing, so does it).
Anyways, not much I can do right now to fix these maps not always saving scores. Play at your own risk :) |

i would give up some freedom in map creation to prevent such things.
how about a limit of 10'000 creeps per map and a max. amount of 1000 power ups (thats still 100 nukes)
i have only seen 1 fun map that could possibly be affected by such limit numbers ... this spiral-map (dunno the name)...
this check should be easily written i guess.
any other limits or nubers? |

The one map that almost always breaks things for me is the map that has the number "21" on it. Not sure what it is about that map though...never tried it. |

how about giving us all the ability to blacklist certain map creators.
That way if this happens I can just blacklist that creator and won't have to play his maps ever again.

what makes it worse, is that some scores have got through.
