Hi, as i am approaching my 20th map i created, here are some thoughts on improving the editor:

.) left click delete. when i make a lot of walls its totally annoying to swich every time to delete it again. the easiest would be left click on it again, and the stuff gets deleted.

.) a colored 'do nothing' mark. for complex maps, where i design where to place stuff, it would help extremly to place some color fields that are not existing in the tournament then.
currently, i use endpoints to mark them, and delete them again bevore running the tournament. means, its damn hard to edit it again.

.) test it with your powerups:
it would be totally awesome to try stuff out with your powerups. currently i do not bother to test them alone, i just run a turnament to try them out.

I like the first and third idea. I'll add them to the to-do list.... so many tings I am working on though right now I can't promise when they'll get done.

As for the 'do nothing' mark, it might be a bit harder to do. I'd then need another button to go into the 'do nothing' mode, and then have the ability to remove them as well... and maybe even save them for next time you load the map.... it's a bit more work than the other two ideas.

To the first idea:
Nice idea, but there should be a button to switch it on and off.

second idea:
I make often a pixel-art of the map on a checkered paper sheet. So I can design and try someting out as I want. When I make the map in the editor I copy the drawing pixel by pixel.
I'll try to scan and upload an example

third idea:
this is in suggestion for a long time. The idea came close after the levelpoints were added. I also hope that this feature will coming soon.

____

I have the idea to add a tunnel. I think a simple warp-point wouldn't be so well, because if you have more than one pair it can became confusing and you can make infinity loops even without juggling.
But with a tunnel the creeps could just swith through a path. The tunnel-piece could be a 5x5 tile with walls in the corners. Like this: http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2821/jzehzpc6_jpg.htm

I really like the teleport idea... i'ev always wanted that. You could make some really cool maps with that feature. It is however, very hard to program that into the game. There are so many things to consider.

It may happen one day. Let me finish MPBTGTD first :P

Here are some examples for the pixel art map design. Feel free to copy share and get inspired by the pics. ;)

"Beholders Eye" (strated) and "Power Metal" (not started but created):

"Some holes" (not started but created) and "Worldmirror"* (not created yet, but I will definitly):
http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/2828/afzdsiv7_pdf.htm

"Der Piet am Galgen hängt" (4th vidio tutorial, I will redo it if I find a good screenrecorder) and "Narrenkappe"** (not created):
http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/2828/ctukmllp_pdf.htm

"Wintermaul" (started) and "Unreal Tournament" (started):
http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/2828/ii2clixa_pdf.htm

___
* I try to make a mirrored and also iverted design. That means a square that is a wall at the top will be a path at the bottom. I also want to make the same amount of walls and paths at each side.

** A "Narrenkappe" is a hat that you wear at carnival. I've found no enlish word, but it can be translated with "Jester hat".

Edit: I should stop writing in a foreign language late at night. In the last time I make so many mistakes...
