Hey all,

Asylum had given this idea for a new power up :

"I was thinking along the lines of a "reverse" power up, where the Start and finish squares are swapped for a specified amount of time, sort of acting like a juggle without selling a tower."

I think it sounds like a cool idea. I'm not saying for 100% that I will add it, I still need to see how hard this will be to implement.

But for now, I would like to know 2 things from you :

1.) How many power up points should this power up cost?

2.) How many seconds should it last for?

Hmm, I started programming this feature but then ran into a few issues....

1.) If you use the powerup... where do the new creeps spawn from? Normally they spawn at the start.... but now the start has moved to where the exit is... so, after the powerup runs out those newly spawned creeps are right near the exit... I "could" make it so that while the powerup is active no enemies spawn...

2.) It appears that the powerup would almost hurt you more than it would help you. At any given time, there is almost always a newly spawned creep right near the start... so using the powerup would cause that creep to turn around and make it to the exit easily... :(

So as it stand now I think this powerup isn't do-able... which is sad cause it sounded cool to begin with... I had already started coding it this morning too!

In sure, if this was to be used by players, it would be by those that call all levels into the map then juggle, but its good to see an idea i had at least given a bit of thought, LOL

Also, maybe the option to stop the powerup if it gets too close.

Maybe for the cost of 1 more point you click the button for it and it stops, returning the creep movement to normal. As for cost, maybe a 3 point powerup,

maybe it'd be an option just to make the powerup not to last for a special time, but permanent?
like for example...

oon start of the game: the start point is on the left side, exit on the right side
after using powerup 1x: now's start on the right side, exit on the left side
after using it once again it just turns back to start on the left side, exit on the right side.

that sounds like a really good idea actually, something like this with a higher cost would be good

jo, at least 5 points it should cost... if you compare it with the stopper, 5 isn't too much.

Maybe the Reverse should also pause the next wave timer while it lasts. This could solve the problem of creeps being too close to a start/exit when the powerup boots up or wears off.

I say change it so that you can place where the start and exit go as long as there is a path from one to the other!. :D. Does everyone think that that's a cool idea?.

i sort of like the permanant idea, maybe it'll cost 10?

but you could also make it cost say.. 3 points for 3 seconds, then 1 point for 1 additional second until canceled or until all points are spent.

on a side note, sparticus, i don't remember if you ever responded to my idea of teleporting exit/entrances. perhaps i'll go bump the topic.....

I like the idea to change the position of an entrance or exit. It would be nice to place new entraces and exits in game. This will allow some interresting maps.
