Hey all,

I am in the process of making multi-level tournaments. The idea is, certain tournaments will award special passes to enter the weekly tournament. Then, at the end of the week there will be one large special tournament that only those that have earned passes can enter (1 entry per pass and people can collect many passes).

My question is, what day do people think would be the best day to run the tournament? I was thinking all of saturday, but I thought I'd check with you all.

Yeah, I'd agree with a whole weekend, but if I'd have to choose 1 day, then Saturday.

I agree with a longer time period.

Recently I was even wondering why the GT tourneys had to be limited to 24 hours on Saturdays -- either someone has the GT to play, or they don't; if I'm out away from a computer for the day (gasp!) and can't play, I lose my GT. It wouldn't be any advantage to me (or disadvantage for others) if the GT tourney stayed live longer.

I can make them run the whole weekend if that's what people want. I won't be able to set that up until after the holidays though :)

you could do a little survey, like the map voting, but for the saturday

there seemed to have been a pretty good consensus for running the tourney all weekend and i think we are past the holidays now =P

it would have been really nice this weekend since during my only real window (4 hours now) to focus on the tourney the server is having it's standard lag issues of late.

every time i try to play (or click on just about anything) i get the 'ASP 0113' error.

i also noticed both T19 and MainstreaM logged in and back out rather quickly. they are both strong contenders in the weekly GT and neither of them have a score posted either :(

(T19 got a disconnect recorded like i did)

there are also only 13 people that were able to post a score in the GT with only a few hours left. i think that number speaks for itself.

yes i know that we are moving to a new server but i still think this would be a good idea all around despite the current server issues.

nobody really defined "whole weekend" but i would think perhaps kicked off at the same time as usual but run for 48 hours instead of 24. so basically friday night to sunday night server time.
