If a 'player' scores less than 500 points they do not count against the player limit.
That is all.

Well then there's the whole "player" versus "play" question. If I play it once, and then go to play it again, am I a 2nd "player", or just 1 player playing twice? BTG counts it the first way at present. |

Right now I have it so if you get a score of zero or if you disconnect it doesn't count towards the player limit.
You want to raise it to 500? |

that coult make problems with certain creative maps...
please leave it to 0
if 90% had problems to survive the first wave, they can be counted, too |

I think that would be justifiable. It's quite possible one would get a score greater than zero -- it only requires killing one creep -- and yet realize that you made some big strategic error right off the bat that you'd like to correct.
Seems to me the tournament designers should want this too; presumably they want their games played to their fullest, not simply clicked on and terminated early.
To clarify - when you say "disconnect", does that include manually quitting a game? Or does it just mean breaking your internet connection? |

if you abort playing by menu, your score reached by that moment is saved. if your compi crashes, you score will not upload. |

The way to not get scored for the run is to kill the tab, or pressing the back-button.(previous page-button) This way the game never finishes your session and sends the score to the server...
@topic: I believe, a margin for error should be considered with the score limit.
I don't want to argue, if it's 10, 100 or 500, but if i setup a grid, and halfway through the first wave see, that it doesn't work or i screwed up on the setup, this shouldn't be considered as a try! |
