New feature request - be able to go to someone elses profile and use my geek points to start one of their tournaments. The tournament author gets any bonuses related to the tournament e.g. entry fees etc. I would just be paying for the 'launch'

Hmmm, no.
I got some tournaments im still working on, wouldn't want other people to be able to start them. I'll release them when i want to. |

Well I meant ones that have already been started at least once and maybe the author doesn't have enough GP to start it again.

Ahh okay but that would mean implementing another feature where the maker can mark the tournament as 'final' or something, so it shows up at their profile. |

i want to resume the discussion, i'm absolutely for this idea, because i see many maps that i cant play, but would like to try. not because i want to earn gp or exp for them but just for fun. so i think it would be really nice if everybodybody could play any map that is marked by the author as final.
to avoid chaos on the tournament page you could add a filter like "tournaments without exp/gp" or "tournaments you are not invited to"
edit: i forgot to mention that i am of course willing to pay with gp to play the tournaments and that the gp schould go to the creator ;) |
