it might be kind of neat to have tournaments that cost like 20 gp to enter and then leave them open for like 3 or 4 days. Then I was thinking that every entry could goes towards the prize pool. So if 400 people enter at a cost of 20 gp then 8000 gp's would be split up among like the top 20 people or something like that

Ya, might be a cool idea. Unless anyone complains ill make it so a percentage (not all) of the geek points used to enter will be split up amongst the players. Players in the higher places (1st, 2nd, etc) would get more than someone in 400th

I like that idea.
Mostly because some geeks use tournaments for the sole purpose of making lots of GP, with absurd entry-fees. If you channel some of those GP's to the rewards at the end, maybe the prices would become reasonable again.
And if the price is really high, you know you will win a lot too if you end up in the top 10 :)
Would make me play the >25 GP tournaments a lot more.

Ya, I think it would be fun to enter a tournament that cost 50+ GP knowing if you do well you could be rich :P

i love that idea, BUT, many peoplw i think, make tournament to cover the cost, like the tournament cost 400 gp, i ask 20 gp for 20 geek,

if you make in sort that i dont get all the gp , you should say how much % of the gp i will lose, , so i can arrange to cover my cost

i earned 275 gps for a game thats played 275 times in 2 days (and costed 1190) with a fee of 5 gps.
that means 1 gp per entry or 1/5 of the fee? i just want to know :)

or is it obsolete because of changes in tournament-starting options that will come eventually

an now i earned 171 gps for 426 entrys in a 3gp fee tourny. that makes 0.4 per entry. i don't get it

I guess it's based right now on how many unique players joined, not how many total entries. I think one of the latest updates changed that.

nah. isn't totally necessary. just wanted to know. one earns enough while playing arount to create a own tourny now and then. no need to get millionaire ;)

in fact it's better this way. i make tournaments where people get surprised. some hurdles involved. if i get poney per person people don't think i want to pull gp's outa their accounts ;) .only want to create challenging ones. same for others

There was an issue where someone could make a tournament and enter their own tournament 500+ times and then become rich when the tournament ended (cause they were refunded all entries into their tournament AND received 100% of all the geek points spent to enter).

This change fixes that issue. So I'm happy :)
