I've spoken with Sparticus and he has given me the go ahead to try this out. Basically, I wanted to let the players choose which map you would play for the Weekly Tournament starting on 3-17-2012. I figured this would give players time to strategize about the layout, talk about why they selected their pick, and maybe bring a little more excitement/anticipation during the midweek.

This is just a test, if you all don't feel this is a good idea, I won't continue it. Also, this will be done week by week, so if I wouldn't have time or maybe I don't have enough maps to let you choose, then I probably will postpone this.

Poll: View image of maps and head to poll site to enter your pick. Poll will probably end midweek sometime, to give me a chance to finish it. If there isn't a clear favorite, then I will choose which map is played. 'Map might change slightly from image, if need be.'

Please, comment on this idea, whether good or bad and/or add your thoughts on why you picked a certain map, what you might do when you play it, etc.

P.S., I'm not trying to toot my own horn. I just like to create maps and Sparticus needs time to finish features for the site "Mutiplayer Anyone", that's all.

Interesting idea, but remember not to set any difficulties to easy (re: viewing replays)

Looks like this won't be very popular, so this will be it's only week. Right now looking at the community tab, there has been 74 unique logins and the poll only received 4 votes, not including myself.

I didn't vote because I like them all... also I like a surprise.

I kinda agree with anonemouse... sometimes the surprise is nice. You never know what new tournament/map there will be till saturday.

Doesn't matter to me really, either way. I figured it would give the players that don't score as high as others, a better chance, since maybe they don't have nearly as many "Golden Tickets" as others.

I wanted to try it and see what players thought. Kinda glad that I don't have to continue it, since it is more work. :-)

Thanks, anonemouse. I like to hear that every once in a while. Well I have ready the voters choice for this week, but next week is another story, could be one that wasn't on the list. :-) I probably still have 20 or so maps that I haven't started tournaments for yet.
